Syrian, Jordanian academics meet in Damascus

A meeting was held on Sunday at Damascus University between the university's president, Abdul Ghani Ma' al-Barid, and the president of the Jordanian al-Beit University, Muhammad Bekheit.

The meeting was held in terms of preparations being made in order to convene the 7th conference on the history of Bilad al-Sham.

Ma' al-Barid spoke about the importance of the forthcoming conference, demonstrating the strong desire of the university to offer any possible Arab efforts to serve science and civilization.

Al-Bekheit expressed the pride of the Arab thinkers and intellectuals over the role they play together with al-Yarmuk University in Jordan in supporting scientific establishments in the two states.
