Committee meets on Israel's violations of understanding provisions
Lebanon-Israel, Politics, 9/7/1999

The April Understanding monitoring committee on Monday started its meeting at the headquarters of UNIFIL in the Lebanese border town of al-Naqoura.

The committee is to consider 10 complaints, of which seven are Lebanese, especially those concerning the Israeli bombardment of Labaya in the western Bekaa on September 1, which resulted in killing two civilians and wounding another four.

Moreover, several houses were damaged as a result of the Israeli attacks against al-Mansouri town, which resulted in wounding four citizens and the destruction of several houses and two sedan cars, as well as the Israeli attacks against Majdal Zoune, Yahmur and Kafra.

In its three complaints, Israel claims that grenade shells were dropped inside Israel and that the Lebanese resistance on the night of August 29 fired missiles from al-Mansouri town toward Israel.
