Jordan's debts reaches $ 7 billion

A periodical statistics list by the Jordanian Ministry of Planning said on Monday that Jordan's total foreign debt reached this year some US $7 billion, including some US $4.2 billion to the greater industrial states, against the debts of 1998 estimated at US $6.8 billion.
The list added that Japan is considered the biggest creditor to Jordan, saying that Jordan's debts to Japan are estimated at US $1.7 billion, followed by France, Britain and Germany.
The sources said that Jordan's debts to financial and international establishments are US $2 billion.
