Palestinian People's Front warns of the series of concessions
Palestine, Politics, 9/6/1999

Maher Taher, a member of the political bureau of the opposition People's Front for the Liberation of Palestine and the front's official spokesman, said, "The most dangerous thing in the agreement is the Palestinian Authority's approval, in principle, to renegotiate a signed agreement, which was previously reached in Wye River."

He added, "The continuous presenting of concessions will reflect, without doubts, badly on the dialogue" between Arafat and the PFLP, referring to the front's opposition to the Wye River accord, because it included a security element with Israel and drafted dangerous security obligations in confronting "what they call terrorism."

Taher described the new agreement as not helping in restoring Palestinian rights, as it gives dangerous indications on the method of moving the issues that are the subject of final status negotiations.
