April Understanding committee meets today on Lebanese complaints

The April Understanding Monitoring Committee today held a meeting at the headquarters of UNIFIL in the Lebanese border town of al-Naqoura to discuss several Lebanese complaints about Israeli attacks that targeted populated areas in the towns of south Lebanon and its western Bekaa, especially the towns of al-Mansouri and Libaya which resulted in the deaths of two citizens and the wounding of others.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance on Sunday attacked an Israeli occupation position in al-Salaa in the central sector of south Lebanon.

In a statement, the Lebanese resistance said one of its groups attacked the Israeli position, using machine guns and rockets. The statement said clashes took place between members of the group and elements of the Israeli position, asting for 10 minutes, during which the resistance men destroyed a machine-gun station and fortifications.

The statement continued that following the clashes the Israeli forces carried out a vast mopping-up operation.
