Contacts underway between Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia
Iraq-Regional, Politics, 9/6/1999
Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid said that contacts and exchanges of ideas are continuous with officials from Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia with the objective of settling unresolved problems among the three states.
In his report to be submitted to the council of the Arab foreign ministers next Sunday, the AL chief said that the outcome of the contacts and consultations is positive, as views have been identical on ways and means of settling problems between the three said Arab states.
The AL chief expressed his hope that efforts would result in having an Arab formula to back the efforts exerted by the International Committee of the Red Cross and in healing the Arab rift.
