New Syrian ambassador for Jordan

Jordanian sources told the London based al-Sharq al-Awsat daily that the Syrian government is to appoint an ambassador in Amman in order to raise the level of Syrian diplomatic representation in Jordan, which has been for years at the level of the charge d'affairs, while Jordan still has the same representation on an ambassadorial level in Damascus. The sources added that this coming step reveals the development of relations between the two states under the rule of King Abdullah II.
