Oman records slight increase in oil exports

Oman exported more than 150 million barrels of crude oil during the first six months of 1999, the Oman News Agency reported, adding that this year's total of 150,545,600 barrels was up by .32% over last year's 150,068,300 barrels. The increase in production was accompanied by a 6.1% increase in the average price per barrel, which rose from $12.20 in the first half of 1998 to $12.95 in the same period this year. Japan, Thailand, China and the Philippines were the top importers of Omani crude oil in the first half of this year.
