Indian business delegation meets Moroccan minister

Moroccan Minister of Trade, Industry and Handicraft Alami Tazi called Thursday Indian economic operators to seize the numerous business and trade opportunities in Morocco.
During a meeting with an Indian economic delegation comprising the CEO of Indian "Projects and Equipments Corporation Ltd" and a representative of Indian company "Fenner India," the minister hailed the improvement of trade exchanges between Morocco and India. The volume of trade is estimated at $350 million (3.5 billion DH), with India importing 75% of Moroccan phosphoric acid.
Tazi also cited the partnership signed in 1997 between the Moroccan state-owned phosphates company (OCP) and "Chambal fertilizers and Chemical" company of Indian group "Birla." The two companies set up a $230 million joint venture for the production of phosphoric acid.
The two countries' employers associations (Moroccan CGEM and Indian Industries Confederation) have also created a joint business council to endeavor to developing partnership relations between enterprises.
The Indian delegation will also meet with Moroccan business circles.
