Libyan leader meets speaker of Moroccan house of representatives

Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi received Thursday in Tripoli the speaker of the Moroccan house of representatives, Abdelouahed Radi, who is representing Morocco at the festivities marking the 30th anniversary of Libya's September 1st Revolution.

Radi conveyed to the Libyan leader the best wishes of King Mohammed VI, the Moroccan government and people for the progress and prosperity of the Libyan people. He also expressed Morocco's will to foster cooperation ties with Libya in all fields.

Moroccan Premier Abderrahmane Youssoufi also sent Libya a congratulations message on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the revolution, which brought Gaddafi to power.

The Moroccan delegation attending the Libyan festivities includes besides Radi, Minister of Education Ismail Alaoui, the minister in charge of relations with the Maghreb and the Arab-Islamic world, Abdesslam Znined and the Moroccan ambassador in Tripoli, Driss Alaoui.

Sayf Al-Islam Omar Gaddafi, the son of the Libyan leader, was in Morocco last Sunday and was received by King Mohammed VI.

Libya and Morocco are members of the Arab Maghreb Union gathering also Mauritania, Algeria and Tunisia.
