Political consultations between Egypt, Uzbekistan

The Undersecretary of Foreign Ministry in Uzbekistan, Abd El-Samad Hidarouf, is due to visit Cairo on September 7 - 10, during which the second session of political consultations is to be held between the two countries' foreign ministries. The Egyptian side is to be chaired by Egyptian Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Fathi El-Shazely.
El-Shazely said today that the round of political consultations would tackle bilateral relations in political, economic, and cultural domains and methods of their development.
Moreover the consultations are to exchange views concerning regional issues of joint interest, especially the aggravated situation in eastern Asia and the Caucasus region in addition to developments in the Middle East peace process.
