Palestinian - Israeli sides have not reached agreement on Wye accord

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa and US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright held a press conference yesterday evening in Alexandria, during which they talked about the latest developments in the peace process in light of Palestinian - Israeli negotiations aimed at reaching a program to implement the Wye River agreement.

Moussa and Albright announced that the Palestinian and Israeli sides have not reached any agreement yet on implementatin of the Wye River Accord, signed in October 1998.

Moussa said both sides should continue negotiations to overcome the points of disagreement obstructing the conclusion of an accord.

Moussa added, "It is possible that such an agreement be signed within hours or within days."
