Egypt-Palestine, Politics, 9/2/1999
Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa stated that they have not reached any agreement between the Palestinians and Israelis until now and that contacts are still continuing between the two sides.
Answering the questions of journalists on whether signing of the agreement to implement the Wye River accord will take place in Alexandria in the presence of US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright or not, Moussa said that if an agreement is reached between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, the signature ceremony would take place in Alexandria.
There are current arrangements made for endorsement in case of reaching an agreement to reach an agreement between the two sides.
Moussa added that the are still one or two unresolved points.
Moussa added that Palestinian President Yasser Arafat will arrive in Cairo today, while the visit of Barak to Egypt depends on whether the two sides will sign the agreement or not.
