Measures underway to return Pakistani workers to Jordan

Pakistan is currently making special measures in order to return 500 of its citizens immediately who lost their jobs in Jordan. AFP said that the Jordanian workers were affected by amendments made recently to the labor laws in Jordan. The agency added the Pakistani workers are part of a group estimated at over 7,000 Pakistanis who have been working in the Jordan Valley since 1970 are no longer able to renew their stays due to the difficulty in finding a guarantor.
