On tourism in Jordan

Jordanian Minister of Tourism Aqel Biltaji has announced that he expects that during the celebration of the third millennium Jordan will be visited by 800,000 tourists, among some three million tourists who will visit the region on this occasion.
In press statements he made in Amman on Wednesday, the Jordanian minister stated that tourism revenues in 1998 reached 853 million Jordanian dinars.
He added that Jordan is interested in the issue of marketing joint tourism with the countries of the region and taking part in the marketing activities of the Arab states exposition for travel and transport in Beirut and the Arab tourism market in Dubai.
