Muslim Brothers criticize Jordanian government for actions against Hamas
Jordan, Politics, 9/1/1999
Abdul Magid Zaniba, the leader of the Muslim Brothers in Jordan, said the Palestinian Hamas movement has the right to express its opinions; therefore, closing Hamas' offices is not only considered a strike against the Islamic movement but against democratic change in Jordan.
Zinbab called on King Abdullah of Jordan to reconsider the decision.
Anxiety prevails in Jordan due to the reaction to the decision, which is strongly opposed by the Islamic movements in Jordan, considering the decision as a real and complete submission to Israel and the USA.
Meanwhile, an Islamic source in Jordan said the Jordanian people were surprised by the decision to close Hamas' offices in Jordan, considering it an unstudied decision that does not express the opinion of the majority in Jordan.
The source added that the decision should have been be raised up to the people of Jordan before its implementation as long as there is democracy in Jordan.
