Volume of trade between Egypt, Holland increases by 10%
Egypt-Netherlands, Economics, 8/31/1999

A delegation of Dutch businessmen representing 35 major companies, chaired by Bram Westerdwin, assistant Dutch minister of transport, public works and water management, to pay a visit to Egypt, starting on November 1 and lasting for several days.

The head of the economic and commercial department at the Dutch embassy in Cairo, Barbara Yozyas, said the delegation of Dutch businessmen which is scheduled to meet with high-ranking officials in the Egyptian government and the communications and transport sectors, are to visit Shark El-Tafriaa so to offer Dutch experience for the private and public and sectors in fields of upgrading the harbor areas.

Yozyas added that the volume of trade between Egypt and Holland achieved an increase of 10% last year, when Egypt's exports to Holland amounted to more than L.E 500 million, most of which came from petroleum and petrochemicals, while Egypt's imports from Holland amounted to L.E 1.8 billion, most of which was from equipment.
