Israel continues attacks on south Lebanon

Israeli occupation forces on Monday continued their attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said the occupation artillery targeted on Monday the outskirts of Beyout al-Sayyad, al-Mansouri, Majdal Zoun, towns of Jabal Sweida, Wadi al-Mansouri and the Litani river course.

The Israeli bombardment expanded to cover the al-Tuffah district's heights, especially Aqmata farm, Sujoud al-Rayhan woods and al-Tasse spring course.

The Israeli artillery bombardment coincided with heavy machine-gun fire from the occupation positions in the adjoining areas.

Meanwhile, Israeli warplanes carried out mock and provocative raids in the airspace of al-Nabatieyah and al-Tuffah district. They were fired on by Lebanese army anti-aircraft missiles.

On Monday, the Lebanese resistance announced the death of one of its fighters in a confrontation with the Israeli occupation forces on Thursday.

On Monday morning, the Israeli occupation forces bombarded several towns and villages adjacent to the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli forces bombarded, using heavy artillery the outskirts of al-Sawannah, Majdal Soloum, Khurber Soloum, al-Qeseyeh valley, Zouter east, Zouter west and Toulin.

The sources added the bombardment was accompanied by intensive flying of the Israeli jets in the airspace of the central and western sectors of south Lebanon.

Further reports from south Lebanon said that Israeli warplanes on Monday broke the sound barrier twice over the capital, Beirut.

Lebanese security sources said the planes continued to carry out intensive sorties in the airspace of south Lebanon.
