Jordan, Politics, 8/31/1999
Jordanian Prime Minister Abdul Raouf al-Rawabdeh has denied to having had discussions of any "integration formula" between Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. In a statement to Middle East TV (MBC) on Sunday night, he stressed that, "Jordan refuses the axis policy and rather believes in bilateral relations." He added, "I said that in Jordan there is no thinking in the tripartite frame of this relation. We rather think in a bilateral frame as a start for consolidation of relations with all Arab brothers."
