AL chief to visit Libya

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid will next Sunday visit Libya to take part in the works of the special African summit and the African ministerial council due to be held in Libya on September 6 through 9.
The spokesman for the AL, Talaat Hamid, said that Abdul Meguid will hold talks with Libyan leader Col. Moammar Gaddafi pertaining to current Arab conditions, means of achieving Arab solidarity and attempts to lift UN sanctions imposed on Libya.
The AL chief will also hold talks with Arab officials who are attending the summit as well as with African leaders in order to discuss Arab and African issues of mutual concern.
