Morocco's year-long festival in France, an opportunity to highlight Moroccan-French ties

The ongoing yearlong Moroccan cultural and commercial festival in France (Temps du Maroc en France) is an opportunity to highlight the sound and longstanding friendship ties existing between the two countries, the French solidarity minister said over the weekend.

During the inauguration ceremony of a Moroccan exhibition at the French city of La Rochelle within the frame of the year-long festival, the French minister, Martine Aubry said the event shows the importance and special interest that France grants to the development of relations with Morocco.

She also recalled the twinning accord sealed lately between Moroccan city of Essaouira and La Rochelle, adding that the Moroccan festival in France will contribute to consolidating dialogue and entente between Moroccan and French peoples and show Morocco's cultural legacy and achievements.

The festival, which was launched few months ago, features several events and exhibitions on Morocco's arts, agriculture, industries, handicraft items, civilisational heritage, cooking, paintings, economic performance, privatization program and incentives granted to foreign investors.
