Damascus International fair opening

Companies, private and state officials from many countries headed to Damascus for its international fair.
Lebanese Minister of Economy Nasser Saidi and the Business men accompanying delegation on Saturday arrived in Syria to take part at Damascus International Fair 46th session.
A big delegation of Lebanese businessmen arrived with Saidi who would attend the Syrian-Lebanese Businessmen Council in addition to 40 Lebanese companies from the private sector. Damascus International fair would be opened this evening at its traditional quarters in Damascus Downtown City.
Meanwhile, Minister of Economy Mohammed Imadi on Saturday held some meetings with Arab and Foreign Trade and Economy Ministers taking part at the opening of Damascus International fair opening. Economic cooperation were discussed with Minister of Trade and Industry in Romania and Kuwaiti minister of Trade and Industry Abdul Wahab Al-Wazen.
Also, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic affairs Salim Yassin on Saturday had a meeting with Algerian Minister of Trade Bakhti Balaieb and the accompanying delegation.
"A revision of the current trade and economic ties between sisterly Syria and Algeria as well as means of cementing and developing them are the main topics of the two officials discussions. They also spoke about reactivating scientific, cultural and education ties," a statement said.
Prospects of establishing a fair for Syrian goods and commodities in Algeria and the possibility of establishing the Joint Businessmen Council between the two states to activate the private sector in the two states were also on the two sides talks.
