Mubarak confers with Jordanian prime minister
Egypt-Jordan, Politics, 8/28/1999

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak today received Jordanian Prime Minister Abdul Raouf al-Rawabdeh, who conveyed to him a message from Jordan's King Abdullah II pertaining to Middle East peace process developments and conditions in the region.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa and his Jordanian counterpart, Abdul Illah al-Khatib, attended the meeting.

Moussa said on Saturday that al-Rawabdeh conveyed during his meeting with President Mubarak, earlier in the day, a message from Jordan's King Abdullah II concerning Middle East peace process on the Syrian and Palestinian tracks.

Following President Mubarak's meeting with al-Rawabdeh, Moussa said talks dealt with the need to implement agreements and obligations signed on all tracks and items of the meeting of the 112th session of the Arab foreign ministers due to start in Cairo on September 12.

Later in the day, al-Rwabdeh returned to Amman following a short visit to Cairo.
