The second Arabic banking conference in Beirut coming October

The union of Arab banks will hold its second Arab banking conference for 1999 on October 28 and 29 in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, entitled "The financial sector in the age of mergers and acquisitions, experiences and experiments."
Adnan al-Hench, the union's secretary general, said that about 400 companies are expected to participate in the conference, held under the auspices of Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss, as well as the governors of central banks, the heads of banks, foreign and Arab businessmen.
