Hamas denounces detention of its members

The Palestinian Hamas movement denounced yesterday the Palestinian Authority for detaining Hamas members in the West Bank. In its statement yesterday, the movement said that the arrest campaign only serves Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, and it said Palestinian security bodies have detained 12 members of Hamas and the Islamic Jihad in the West Bank town of Bethlehem.
