India denies nuclear cooperation with Israel, reiterates support for Arab issues

India denied yesterday nuclear cooperation with Israel. In reply to what was stated by the Arab committee authorized with following up on Israel nuclear activity at the conclusion of its meeting at the Arab League two days ago, the statement released by the Indian embassy in Cairo said that the good relations between India and Israel do not include any nuclear cooperation.
The statement said that India's relations with the Arab states relate to history, as these relations include political cooperation and all economic fields.
The statement also expressed the continuation of India's permanent support for the Arab issues, at the top of which comes the Palestinian issue.
The statement also hinted that no change took place in India's stance recently concerning the Palestinian issue.
The Indian embassy's statement emphasized that India's relations with Israel will not be developed on the account of its various relations with Arab states.
The Arab committee concerning with following up on Israeli nuclear activity warned at the conclusion of its meetings of the dangers posed by increasing the level of military cooperation between India and Israeli, especially in the nuclear field, toward Arab security and the stability of the situation in the Middle East.
The committee also called for contacts with India to halt this cooperation.
