Tourism project Portrays the holy family's journey in Egypt

Egyptian Minister of Tourism Mamdouh El-Beltagi examined yesterday a development project in the framework of preparing to celebrate the third millennium through a major project sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture, concerning the revival of the holy family's path in Egypt.
The project started last April and was to be completed by the end of the current year at a cost of L.E 15 million. The project portrays the holy family's journey comprising a number of places starting with El-Farma and Port Said, where the Virgin Mary entered Egypt during their refuge in Egypt, the country of security, escaping from the Romans at God's order.
Beltagi and Abdel Kheim Shahta, Cairo's governor, within their tour of religions complexes area including the suspension Church, Amr Ibn El-Asse and the Jewish temple.
The project concerning the development of the area includes establishing a commercial market and developing the fronts of shops and the buildings around the place, draping and amending the Church's entries and fences, and developing Hosn El-Anwar street in this area. The project also includes developing the roads and important points in the area by lighting by lightening, paving and adding plant live to the area.
At the end of his tour, the minister of tourism stated that no harm would affect the area's residents or the shops in any way while developing the area. The existence of the rapid and suitable substitutes for the shops and the workshops that will be evacuated in keeping with the area's historical shape during every stage of the project will be taken in regard.
