Over 63,000 Moroccans get Belgian citizenship in past 12 years

Some 36,157 Moroccans have obtained Belgian nationality during the past twelve years, says a report released by a Belgian center.
The Italians are the largest foreign community settled in Belgium, with 64,897. The Moroccans came in second place with 63,157 persons followed by the Turks (38,129), refugees from various countries (17,062) and the Dutch (15,428).
Moroccans who get another citizenship retain their Moroccan citizenship.
