Al-Rawabdeh confirms improvement in Egyptian - Jordanian relations

Jordanian Prime Minister Abdul Raouf al-Rawabdeh said Jordanian - Egyptian relations are improving, due to the continued consultations and coordination between Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Jordan's King Abdullah Bin Hussein, pointing to the expected visit to King Abdullah to Egypt in this respect.

In a private statement to the Egyptian radio Sawt al-Arab, al-Rawabdeh said the peace process and Arab solidarity are going to top the subjects that the two leaders will discuss in their coming summit.

Concerning the visit of Israeli Foreign Minister David Levy to Jordan yesterday, al-Rawabdeh said that during this visit, they inaugurated a bridge that links Jordan to Palestine, and called on Levy to implement the accords signed between Israel and Palestine.

In reply to what was suggested for discussion during the convening of the Jordanian - Israeli water committee tomorrow in Amman he said Jordan's share of water from Israel is specified in the peace agreement, and Jordan demands to take its share of water directly from al-Yarmouk river instead of storing it in Tabaraya lake.

Concerning the Jordanian - Syrian relations, Jordan's prime minister said that the relations are excelent and emphasized that Jordan's relations with any part will not come on the account of relations with other Arab states.
