Holland expels 30 Israeli Mossad agents
Israel-Netherlands, Politics, 8/25/1999
The Dutch authorities have expelled some 30 Mossad agents and employees following a scandal involving purchasing nuclear items, plutonium and very sensitive electronics from Russian figures in the Dutch territories.
The London-based al-Sharq al-Awsat daily released on Tuesday quoted a diplomatic source in the Jordanian capital as saying that the Mossad's chief, Afrael Hleive, visited Amsterdam secretly in order hide this scandal, adding that the talks of Dutch Foreign Minister Jozias van Aartsen in Israel dealt with "a dispute which is still covert between the two countries because of the news Israeli Mossad's scandal in Holland following Israel's smuggling of nuclear items in diplomatic bags."
