Qataris unhappy with Israel's participation in tournament

Qatari citizens have expressed their dissatisfaction over the participation in an international handball tournament due in Doha today. The AFP said on Sunday in a report that Qatari citizens showed their anger over the Israeli participation in terms of the press, the media and public indignation.

The report added that preaching at Friday's concentrated on the 30th anniversary of setting al-Aqsa mosque ablaze by the Israelis and on Israeli massacres committed against the Arabs.

The report also said the Israeli sports team and about 20 fans were taken to an unknown hotel in Doha under strict security measures, and unlike other participating teams, the Israeli flag will not be hoisted in public places.

The report said that Kuwait withdrew its participation in the 20 team championship.
