King calls Moroccans to respect liberties guaranteed by constitution
King Mohammed VI spoke of his political agenda for Morocco after assuming power following the late king's demise and after a period of mourning for the country at the end of which he is to begin focus on the country's affairs. He called on Friday Moroccans to respect the legal provisions of liberties guaranteed by the constitution.

The Moroccan Red Crescent has sent a humanitarian assistance to victims of the earthquake that jolted Turkey, leaving more than 10,000 dead persons. On Thursday, the Moroccan government also announced an emergency assistance, consisting of 900 tents, 6,000 blankets in addition to medical equipment. A team of 37 firemen specialized in rescue and land clearing operations was also put at the disposition of Turkey.
