Erekat: Wye issues require Israeli political decision, not negotiation

Top Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said yesterday that the negotiations that took place yesterday between the Palestinians and Israelis did not achieve any results and that there are still disputes regarding the time schedule for implementation of the Wye River accord, detainees, the Palestinian harbor and the secure passage.
Erekat said the disputes do not need further negotiation but a political decision from Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
Erekat met once more with the head of the Israeli delegation ,Gil Hatsher, without reaching any results.
Meanwhile, Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is to meet with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat tomorrow during Arafat's two-day visit to Egypt.
