Estimated 586 AIDS cases reported in Morocco up to last march

A total of 586 cases of AIDS were reported in Morocco up to last March 31, according to a medical source quoted by Moroccan daily Al Alam. Most of AIDS-affected persons are men (69.3%). The rate of AIDS-affected persons in the 15 to 29 years age bracket stands at 23%, while that of persons aged between 30 and 39 is of 46%. Out of the 586 cases, 89% were reported in urban areas, the medical source said.
