Jordan-Syria, Politics, 8/19/1999

Jordanian Minister of Information and Culture Nasser Lowzi has asserted the deep bilateral and fraternal relations between Jordan and Syria and described these relations as "remarkable and developed."

In statements to reporters on Wednesday in Amman, the Jordanian minister said that necessary practical measures to circulate the press between the two states were taken.

The Jordanian minister said the process of exchanging the press between the two states will start within the coming days, as press departments in the two countries are making preparations and taking necessary measures in coordination with the Jordanian embassy in Damascus and the Syrian embassy in Amman.

Meanwhile, the director general of the publication department at the Jordanian Ministry of Information, Abdullah Attoum, praised this new measure of exchanging circulation of the press between the two states.
