People's Front: Reports of Abu Ali Mustafa's return to Palestine an Israeli lie

In a press statement issued on Tuesday, the People's Front for the Liberation of Palestine said that a report broadcast by Israeli Army Radio on August 5 that the Israeli authorities permitted the PFLP's deputy secretary general, Abu Ali Mustafa, to return to the Palestinian territories "is baseless and futile."
The statement added that the report is a " lie fabricated by Israel to undermine the dialogue started in Cairo, on the one hand, and to monitor reactions" to such statement, on the other hand.
The front added that Abu Ali Mustafa was prevented twice by Israel from "returning back to the homeland." The first time was in 1996 and the second was "by the invitation extended to the members of the central council abroad in 1998 when the name of Abu Ali Mustafa was omitted from the list by Israel."
