One Egyptian journalist involved in al-Shaab paper case released

An Egyptian court on Tuesday released a journalist working for the biweekly al-Shaab Adel Hussein after 24 hours of detention because of insulting and defaming Egyptian Deputy Premier and Minister of Agriculture Youssef Wali.
Al-Shaab had accused Wali, who is also the secretary general of the ruling National Party, of dealing with the Israeli Mossad in conducting "suspicious and destructive" agricultural experiments. A court ruled that he did not have sufficient evidence to justify and that his claims and his comments were defamatory.
