Syrian - Jordanian industrial company meets in Damascus

The general assembly of the Syrian - Jordanian company for industries on Tuesday morning held its annual meeting at the Syrian Ministry of Industry in Damascus. It was attended by Syrian Industry Minister Ahmad Nizam al-Din and his Jordanian counterpart, Muhammad Asfour.

The participants in the meeting discussed several matters relating to developing the company's production, improving qualifications and entering into the international market.

The two sides reviewed the company's agenda, including a report on the country's activities in 1998 and adopting the general budget.

The two ministers, for their part praised the existing cooperation relations between Jordan and Syria in the area of industry for the benefit of the two peoples. They indicated the important issues the joint Jordanian- Syrian committee discussed in its recent meeting held in Amman, saying these issues had a positive reflection on the volume of industrial and trade exchange between Syria and Jordan, SANA reported.
