Saudi delegation visits Uzbekistan
Saudi Arabia-Uzbekistan, Politics, 8/17/1999

Saudi Minister of Trade Usama Jafar Faqih headed today to Uzbekistan heading a delegation to attend the meetings of the joint Saudi - Uzbekistani committee in its first session.

The Saudi delegation includes high-ranking officials in economic corporations and ministries as well as Saudi businessmen.

The visit comes in endeavors to enhance cooperation ties and increase the development of bilateral trade. It will also address the two countries' adherence to raising the level of fruitful economic, investment, cultural and artistic cooperation.

The two countries' governments signed in 1996 a general agreement for cooperation in the economic, commercial, investment, artistic, and cultural sport and youths fields.
