Tunisian transfers from abroad worth $980 million

The transfers of Tunisians working abroad to their homeland amounted to nearly $890 million last year.
The Tunisian central bank released a report saying that the development of these transfers has helped in diminishing the shortage in the current balance. Tunisian transfers from abroad came in the second position after tourism in the country's income of free currency.
The Tunisian population abroad amounts to nearly 660,000 people -- 7.4% of Tunisia's population of 9.5 million people.
The European countries lure 84% of the total of the Tunisians residing abroad, 62% of them living in France.
86,500 Tunisians work in Arab states.
