Qatar, Algeria for full Israeli withdrawal

Qatar and Algeria have asserted that just and comprehensive peace in the region will be only maintained through resuming the ME peace on all tracks from the point they broke off, Israel's unconditional withdrawal from the occupied Golan heights and from South Lebanon and its western Bekaa.
The two countries called on the international community and the ME peace process cosponsors to carry out their due role in pushing forward the ME peace. A Joint statement released on Wednesday in conclusion of the visit held by the ruler of Qatar Sheikh Hamad to Algeria explained that achieving peace is also linked to the realization of agreements signed between the sides concerned according to international legitimacy resolutions and the enabling of the Palestinian people from restoring back their national legitimate rights including their right to establish their own independent state with Jerusalem as a capital. The two sides, on the other hand, stressed the need of lifting the tough and repressive measures on the Iraqi people and the importance of proper implementations of the UN Security council relevant resolutions. They stressed their commitment to the unity of the Iraqi territories and its national sovereignty and nonintervention in its internal affairs. The two sides discussed Arab-African relations and asserted the importance of achieving Afro-Arab solidarity and co-operation in all fields as well as to settle disputes by peaceful means. The statement indicated positive development on the Arab Maghreb arena and the current efforts made to revive the Maghreb common efforts for developing bilateral relations between the Arab Maghreb member states for realizing progress, might and integration for the countries of the region. The two sides expressed their satisfaction over the development of bilateral relations between Qatar and Algeria, especially continued contacts between economic activists and promotion of investment move. They stressed the need of reviving the mechanism, of cooperation and implementing agreements in various economic cultural, scientific, human resources area and decided to convene the second session of the Algerian-Qatar Joint committee before the end of this year in Algiers.
Official talks were held on Tuesday night in Algiers between Algerian President Abdul Aziz Bouteflika and the ruler of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khaleifa al-Thani, currently visiting Algeria.
Talks dealt with bilateral relations, developments on the Arab arena and regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Sheikh Hamad arrived in Rabat on Wednesday night. His talks in Rabat will deal with the Arab conditions, international developments and means of boosting bilateral relations.
