King Mohammed chairs military session with senior officers

King Mohammed VI on Monday presided over a working session with senior officers of the general staff of the Royal Armed Forces.
The king is supreme chief and chief of the general staff of the Royal Armed Forces.
The Royal Armed Forces had renewed loyalty, obedience and attachment to King Mohammed VI in a message they handed over to the sovereign last July 30, following the demise of the late King Hassan II.
In the message, the senior officers of the general staff of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), on behalf of officers, non-commissioned officers, troops and the royal gendarmerie, vowed faithfulness and loyalty to Morocco's new sovereign and presented condolences for the demise of the late King Hassan II.
Top officers of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces were among the signatories of the Allegiance Act, that was also signed by Princes, the cabinet members, the Speakers of the two chambers of Parliament, Advisors of the King, chairmen of the Ulema (theologians) councils, leaders of political parties and other officials and dignitaries.
