Palestinian criticism for delay of Albright's visit
Palestine-USA, Politics, 8/10/1999
The Palestinian government urged the USA to make a rapid intervention to oblige the Israeli government to implement Wye River accord.
The government criticized delaying the visit of US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright to the area, which was originally scheduled for mid-August, until the end of the month at the request of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and described the delay as contradicting with US responsibility and commitments for implementing the accord.
This came in a press statement issued by the general Divan for the Palestinian authority.
