US shelling against Iraqi buildings

Baghdad announced that US planes attacked civilian and service establishments in northern Iraq near Mosul today, adding that the US planes shelled civilian and service buildings in northern Iraq.
The spokesman for the Iraqi air defense minister said that hostile planes came from southern Turkey, flying at high altitudes launched 20 air raids over Arbel and Mosul.
The military spokesman said there were losses of life due to the air raids, adding that other US and British jets launched 56 flights today against El-Bessira and El-Mossna Mithal in southern Iraq, but he did not refer to any raids taking place during these flights.
