Jordan - Saudi - chicken imports
Jordan-Saudi Arabia, Economics, 8/9/1999
A Jordanian Ministry of Agriculture source said that Jordan has not been formally informed of a reported Saudi decision to temporarily ban the import of chicken products and fodder due to concerns of dioxin contamination, the Jordanian news agency, Petra, reported.
"Jordan is ready to provide Saudi Arabia and any other country with the needed documents proving that dioxin has never been a Jordanian problem but rather a European one and particularly in Belgium," Petra quoted the source as saying.
