Bouteflika to visit Paris next month

Algerian diplomatic sources in Cairo said today that Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika is due to head to Paris next month, on his return from the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Bouteflika's visit comes as a part of boosting the new development in bilateral relations between France and Algeria, which witnessed a strained period in the three previous years.
The mediation carried out last month by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak helped ease the tension between the two countries.
The recent visit of French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine to Algeria, moreover, has reflected the reconciliation endeavors between the two countries.
