Jordanian army chief confers with commander of US third army

The general command of the Jordanian armed forces on Wednesday announced that the joint chief of staff of the Jordanian armed forces, Lt. Gen. Muhammad Youssef al-Malkawi, reviewed with commander of the third US Army, Tommy Franks, conditions in the region in general and matters of mutual concern, in particular.
The leadership said that the commander of the Jordanian land forces and the charge de affairs at the US embassy in Jordan attended the meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the general command of the Jordanian armed forces.
