Ganzouri: Mubarak's US visit rebutted religious persecution charges

Egyptian Prime Minister Kamal El-Ganzouri said yesterday that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's recent visit to the United States rebutted claims of religious persecution in Egypt. "During President Mubarak's visit to the US, Egyptian Copts were keen to visit him and pledge loyalty to their motherland and express their appreciation to the economic reforms accomplished in the country under Mubarak's leadership," Ganzouri said.
