Lahoud: Unity of stand with Syria guarantees just peace

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud on Wednesday stressed that the unity of positions between Lebanon and Syria is the real guarantee for achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
During his meeting on Wednesday with several Lebanese parliament members the Lebanese president said that the language of threats advocated by Israel will not undermine Lebanon's unswerving stances towards the Middle East peace process in the region.
Lahoud stressed that the Lebanese army will not be a guard for Israel's security. He reiterated backing for the Lebanese resistance to expel Israel from south Lebanon and the western Bekaa.
