Palestine-Russia, Politics, 8/4/1999
Palestinian President Yasser Arafat received yesterday a communique from Russian President Boris Yeltsin and the Russian leadership.
The communique tackled the outcomes of the meetings held in Moscow on Monday between Yeltsin and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak.
Arafat received the communique while receiving the representatives of Russia to the Palestinian government, Alex Techescov, today.
Sources in the Palestinian presidency said today that the communique includes Russian confirmations of the importance of carrying out the agreements endorsed between the two sides, including the Wye river accord, and reviving the peace process.
